Toronto came out firing, hitting 4 threes in the first four minutes of the game. The Raptors had difficulty defending Sacramento's Garrett Temple, who put up 10 points in the quarter. With about three minutes left, DeMar DeRozan nailed a turnaround jumper in the face of Bogdan Bogdanovic to bring Toronto's lead to 3 points. Norman Powell blocked a shot from Kings' Buddy Hield to end the 1st quarter. Toronto led 35-30.
