Game Review: Raptors at Thunder

Review Written by Adam Garfield (@AdamThe6God)

DeMar DeRozan got the Raptors going by scoring 10 points, while Oklahoma City's Carmelo Anthony and Steven Adams combined for 17 points. C.J. Miles came off the bench and provided 8 points. With less than 2 seconds left in the quarter, DeMar threw a half-court pass to Poeltl, who tapped the ball to C.J., who then drained the long-range three-pointer to conclude the 1st quarter. Toronto led the Thunder 38-32. The story-line of the 2nd quarter was the altercation between Jonas Valanciunas and Russell Westbrook. After missing a layup attempt, Westbrook grabbed the ball while he was on the ground after the play was called dead.  Jonas tried to take the ball from Westbrook, who then retaliated and escalated the situation. They exchanged shoves and had to be separated by teammates. They each got a technical foul. Valanciunas scored 8 points in the quarter, which made up for his unnecessary technical foul. Toronto trailed 66-63 heading into halftime.
