Why You Should Advertise on Wednesday Night Dash

You've probably seen a lot of talk lately on our site and social media about the Wednesday Night Dash iRacing league and based on the page views and visits to our Twitch and YouTube channels (hit the subscribe button for both!), a lot of you have been checking it out!  Today we're going to talk about what is Wednesday Night Dash (WND for short) and how advertising on WND can be a great way to further expand the reach of your blog, podcast, streaming channel, or YouTube channel brand.

What are iRacing and Wednesday Night Dash?

Wednesday Night Dash is a weekly eSports competition via the iRacing.com platform.  iRacing is a racing simulator company that works directly with the top racing series, car manufacturers, and tracks around the world to create an authentic racing experience for anyone with a decent gaming pc and a racing wheel setup.

Wednesday Night Dash is a private league that meets almost every week at 10 pm eastern/7 pm pacific time featuring myself and my partner Erik Richardson of F-R Racing.  The event started as a way for Erik and D.J. to hang out and race every week, but in early 2022 expanded into a full league featuring people we've met along the way either via social media, Discord or on the iRacing.com platform.  Periodically we'll be joined by friend of the site and former podcast guest Bernard Pollard.

Racing Structure

The year is broken into four seasons with eight races in each season.  Each season features a different car type to change up the action.  For

  • 2022 Season 1 - Dallara IR-18 IndyCar (2022 series car) - January-March
  • 2022 Season 2 - NASCAR Next Gen Stock Car (2022 series car) March-May
  • 2022 Season 3 - NASCAR Camping World Trucks (2022 series car) - June-August
  • 2022 Season 4 - ARCA Menards Series Cars - September-November

From 10 pm to 10:15 pm the drivers warm up and qualify and at approximately 10:15 pm, the broadcast on Stadium Scene TV begins as the drivers prepare to start the pace lap.  Once the flag goes green, it stays green for the next 45 minutes except for a competition caution at the halfway point.  The competition caution allows for pit stops, regrouping the field, and ultimately more competitive finishes.

Kendall Kerr of High Line Media/High Line Racing League is our play-by-play announcer for the series calling all the action/

Why should I advertise on Wednesday Night Dash?

Advertising on Wednesday Night Dash is a unique and affordable way to expand your brand!  How would you like to see your blog, podcast, or channel named after a race just like you see on a NASCAR race?  The amount of name-brand exposure on Twitch, YouTube, and social media far outweighs what you'll get for $10-15 advertising on a social media platform.  Plus, haven't you always wanted to have your name and logo on a race car?

Advertising Includes:

  • Your publication is named after the race of your choice
  • Your name and logo featured on the Stadium Scene social media channels in the days leading up to the race
  • Two live reads of your publication during our live broadcast on Stadium Scene TV's Twitch and YouTube channels
  • Your name on the YouTube video title and in the description as long as we exist as a channel on YouTube
  • A copy of your advertisement is posted in the description of our video
  • For an extra $5, we'll put your logo on an F-R Racing car
  • A commemorative digital 8x10" of the race featuring the race name and date for you to print and frame

Some of the 2022 Race Sponsors:

2022 Season Rates (in USD):

  • $10 - Name after the race
  • $5 - Your logo on an F-R Racing car (optional)

I want to race with you!

Absolutely, we would love to have you join the series!  We're targeting growing the league to 25 drivers before locking it in.  There is a $50 per season fee that covers the broadcasting fee and then the rest of the fee is put back into the prize purse.  The top 3 finishers in each race and the top 3 finishers in each season qualify to receive a cash payout.  We pay out one lump sum at the end of the season (or you can credit your winnings towards your entry next season).

Requirements:

  • Members of iRacing.com and own all cars and tracks needed to complete the season schedule
  • Available most Wednesdays from 10-11 pm eastern time
  • Class A or less oval rating in iRacing
  • Oval iRating of 2500 or less
  • Races clean

We understand mistakes will be made while racing and do not penalize you for that.

So now what?

Wednesday Night Dash season premiere debuts on YouTube and Twitch at 10:15 pm eastern time on September 7th at Chicagoland Speedway.  Don't miss it!
