Multi-streaming Your Live Stream with Restream.IO

So you've probably noticed recently that we're doing a lot more live streaming.  You're probably also seeing that our streams are simultaneously running on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube, and are wondering how we do it.  Are we running three streams from a local PC?  Nope!  The required resources to run three separate live streams from a home network/Internet connection would likely be too much for the average person's Internet.  We're using a tool called Restream!

What is Restream?

Restream.IO is a creator toolset that allows users to multistream to multiple platforms at the same time.  You can broadcast directly on your custom Restream profile page or you can live stream to all major popular platforms including:

  • Twitch
  • YouTube
  • Facebook (Pages, Groups, Personal Profiles)
  • Kick
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Custom RTMP Source (Such as a Zoom or Microsoft Teams meeting)

How does it work?

Check out this tutorial from Restream to show how easy it is to live stream from your home computer:

Cost

Restream has a free tier that limits your use of features and a few paid tiers that expand your capabilities and the quality of your live stream.  It's great for setting up that initial multistream to both your Twitch and YouTube accounts.  If you want to add in Facebook, Kick, or others then you'll need to upgrade to a paid tier.

Summary

Restream is a very powerful tool with excellent tiers that allow you to expand as your streaming presence grows.  We're proud Restream customers and this is something we use every week here at Stadium Scene.  Sign up, try out the free tier, and seriously consider expanding toward the paid tier as you grow.

Note: In addition to being customers of Restream, we're also affiliate partners!  By clicking one of our links and signing up for Restream, we make a small commission from the sale.  That commission goes a long way to help us cover our operating costs and to fund more content for you to help you grow your brands.  Thank you again for your support of Stadium Scene
