MLB Parking Series - Wrigley Field

One of the biggest challenges about driving to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field in Chicago is figuring out where to park.  For those who have never been to "The Friendly Confines" at 1060 W Addison St, you'll learn that unlike pretty much every other stadium in the world, there is basically no parking around the stadium.  It's in the middle of a neighborhood and will literally appear out of nowhere. So for parking, we have two options:

1. Night & Weekend Games - *Free Parking?!

Yep! Free parking for a professional sporting event!!  I know, it's really hard to believe.  But do you see the asterisk next to free?  Well, it does cost you something besides the fact the Cubs play most of their games during the day... and that's your dignity.  The parking lot is located at 3900 N Rockwell St and it requires you to ride a free shuttle (school) bus to and from the ballpark.  You think I'm kidding?

I remember school buses having much bigger seating areas...

In all seriousness, be prepared to wait an hour after a game to catch a bus back to the parking lot.  For an evening game that can be pretty late...

2. Parking - The Easy Way

Thanks to our friends at ParkWhiz.com, you can pick out your parking from a map of lesser-known parking spots all around the ballpark at a price that fits your budget.  You won't have to wait an hour for a bus (which can be pretty painful in the humid Chicago summer).  Just use the easy widget below to pick out your game, your spot and it's guaranteed to be there or you get your money back!
