This is personally one of our favorite stadium names and designs. This stadium opened in 1983 when Atlanta lost their first of two hockey franchises and was also used in the 1988 Winter Olympics.
A variety of tour options are available during the offseason. Please visit for tour information.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
All large bags such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena. All bags are subject to inspection before entry.
Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.
The number 24 bus drops off and picks up just north of the stadium. A short walk one half of a kilometer south will get you to the stadium entrance.
Victoria Park / Stampede CTrain Station is the closest station to the stadium. Please visit Calgary Transit to plan your visit.
There does not appear to be a taxi stand for this stadium, but you should be able to find a taxi around or near the stadium to take you home.
