Home of the NASCAR Racing Series
Opening in 1960 and sitting just outside of Atlanta, GA, Atlanta Motor Speedway is the home of early and late season racing due to being in a warmer climate. Most notably, the track suffered $40 million in damage from a tornado in 2005.
Track tours are available at select times Monday through Friday. Please visit the tours website for more information.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
One soft-sided bag OR hard or soft-sided cooler no larger than 14" x 14" x 14" may be brought into the track. All bags subject to search before entry.
Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.
All parking on the Atlanta Motor Speedway property is free with exception for VIP parking. Please visit the parking website for directions to specific lots.
During NASCAR season, a tram runs from select spots beyond a 1 1/4 miles from the track.
There does not appear to be any rail service to this track.
