About Capital One Arena:

Opening in 1997, Capital One Arena has been credited with the re-energizing of the Chinatown neighborhood in Washington DC.

Tour Info:

There doesn't appear to be any public tour offerings at this time.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

All bags larger than 13"x9.5"x6" such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena.  All bags are subject to inspection before entry.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking Options

There is no official parking lot run by the stadium, but there are several parking lots available nearby.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

The 70 and 74 bus lines are available just west of the stadium. Please visit the Metro to plan your trip.

Rail Service:

Red, Green, and Yellow Lines all serve the stadium at the Gallery Place station. Please visit the Metro to plan your trip.

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

There's no official taxi stand at the stadium, but it shouldn't be too difficult to flag one down on the street most of the time.
