A very average stadium. Nothing too crazy, but it has modern touches. They have a lot of local food options - like Skyline Chili - and I always love seeing the local culture. The location is nice as it is right on the river.

Stadium Information

About Great American Ballpark:

Great American Ballpark opened in 2003, it replaced Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium), another shared baseball/football facility. The stadium consists of two smoke stacks that represent the steamboats that used to sail along the Ohio River next to where the stadium currently sits.

Tour Info:

Tours are not available yet. Please visit for tour information.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

Bags larger than 16" x 16" x 8" are prohibited. All bags are subject to search.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking & Transportation

Parking Options

There is parking at the stadium, but you may want to check out the public parking lots in the area. There is a big selection and you might find a better deal.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

Take the Metro Bus or any other bus that goes to the Riverfront Transit Center. Then you are just a short walk away from the stadium.

Rail Service:

There are no rail options for this stadium.

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

There is not a dedicated taxi stand. You need to call prior to the end of the game and arrange pick-up on Joe Nuxhall Way on the west side of the stadium. There are five cab companies to choose from.
