The Iowa Speedway hosts Verizon IndyCar Series and NASCAR. It is a 7/8 mile oval racing track in Newton, Iowa, which is just 30 miles east of Des Moines.

Fan Tips

Iowa Speedway offers a short oval racing experience with a design that promotes side-by-side action and competitive racing.

Located in Newton, Iowa, the track is primarily accessed by car and rideshare.

Grandstand seating keeps fans close to the track, providing excellent views of the entire circuit.

Concessions include traditional race-day fare throughout the venue.

The compact layout creates an engaging and fan-friendly race atmosphere.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

You may enter with a soft-sided cooler AND a small bag or backpack no larger than 14"x 14"x 14". All bags are subject to inspections.
