Stadium Information

About Nationals Park:

Nationals Park opened in 2008 to a walk off home run by Ryan Zimmerman. From the stadium you can see the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument.

Tour Info:

A variety of tour options are available. Please visit for tour information.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

Any bag larger than a clutch must be clear plastic, vinyl or a PVC bag. If a family has medical or diaper bags, they may use the ADA/Family lanes.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking & Transportation

Parking Options

It is highly recommended that you take public transit, a taxi, or carpool. If you are going to park at the stadium, make sure to reserve your spot in advance online.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

There are two different bus routes you can take to get to the stadium. You can take the Metrobus or the DC Circulator Service. Check their websites for fares and stops.

Rail Service:

It is highly recommended to use the rail system to get to the ballpark. Take the Green Line to the Navy Yard Station. You can also take the Orange, Blue, or Silver Line to the Capitol South Station.

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

You may catch the taxi on the north side of M Street SE between South Capitol St SE and Half St SE. If a car taxi is not your style, there are also water taxis within walking distance.  Do not drop off on South Capitol Street due to the high volume of traffic.
