Stadium Information

About Petco Park:

Located in the Gaslamp District of San Diego, Petco Park has been a proud fixture of the San Diego community since 2004. The Western Metal Supply Company building was declared a historic landmark in 1978 so as a result the stadium integrated it as part of the stadium since the building could not be demolished. Look for that down the left field line.

Tour Info:

A variety of tour options are available. Please visit for tour information.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

The stadium will only allow single compartment bags that are 7” x 10” or smaller, infant, and medical bags.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking & Transportation

Parking Options

There are approximately 20,000 parking spaces downtown, but much of Petco Park's official parking is not available due to construction in the area.  In 2023 they recommend public transit or walking to the ballpark.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System has several bus routes that will take you either right to the stadium or within blocks of it. To get dropped off at the stadium, you need to get on routes 11, 901, or 929. The other routes that will get you near the stadium are 4, 3, and 5. If the public bus is not your style, you can take the San Diego Trolley. You can take the Orange, Blue and Green line to get direct service to the park.

Rail Service:

You can take the Coaster Train and hop on a trolley to get to the game.

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

There is not a dedicated taxi stand at Petco Park. However, you can walk to the 5th Ave Landing and take a water taxi if you desire.

The Ride Share drop-off and pick-up location is next to the Bayfront Hilton Hotel on Harbor Drive.
