Stadium Information

About Turner Field:

The Braves moved into SunTrust Park at the start of the 2017 season. Turner Field was built originally as a stadium to host the 1996 Summer Olympic games and was converted to a baseball stadium for the Braves once the Olympics were finished.

Tour Info:

This stadium has closed and is no longer in operation.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

Bags larger than 16" x 16" x 8" are prohibited. All bags are subject to search.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking & Transportation

Parking Options

There are plenty of lots to park in. If you are going to a game and planning on parking, make sure to see if there are any special lots that you qualify for. Hyundai owners and Delta SkyMiles Medallions Members have special lots. They may change the designated lots, so let us know if they change! It is worth it, trust me.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

You can take MARTA bus routes 32, 49, and 55 to get to the field.

Rail Service:

You can take the MARTA Rail to the Georgia State University Station and walk a short distance to the game. If your train does not go to that station, get off at the West End Station and take the MARTA Braves Shuttle. Make sure you have a round-trip ticket if you are using the shuttle, as you need that to get back to the station.

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

You can catch a cab after the game on Hank Aaron Drive near the Northeast and East Gates.

Closest Major Airport: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
