Stadium Information

About Wanda Metropolitano Stadium:

This stadium was actually built in the early 90s as a much smaller more basic "community stadium", but was essentially rebuilt and opened in 2017 for Atletico Madrid replacing Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Tour Info:

There are both guided and self tours available.  The guided tours have limited set start times, but the self-guided tour is available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  For schedules and ticketing information, please visit the club website.

Security Screenings:

Standard security protocol is followed here featuring metal detectors, pat-downs, and bag checks.  Arrive early to make sure you get to your seat on time!

Bag Policy:

There does not appear to be a specific bag policy, but we recommend not bringing any bags or bringing as small of a bag as you can.  Your bag will be searched before entry is permitted.  There also doesn't appear to be any luggage lockers or checked bag facilities on site.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking & Transportation

Parking Options

A limited number of parking spots are available, but you're better off taking public transit or a taxi.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

There are MANY bus lines within a short walk of the stadium.  Instead of listing them all, you're better off getting schedules and planning your trip through EMT Madrid.

Rail Service:

Estadio Metropolitano (Line 7) is one of the largest stations in Madrid and is the station/line most used by fans arriving at the stadium.  Las Rosas (Line 2), Canillejas (Line 5), and Las Musas (Line 7) are also available, but it may take you 25-30 minutes to walk to these stations.  For more information and to plan your trip, please visit Madrid Metro.

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

Taxi service tends to be expensive in Madrid and you may have to wait in traffic when leaving, but finding a taxi generally shouldn't be a problem after the match.  There does not appear to be a designated taxi stand.

Closest Major Airport: Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD)
