About Dover International Speedway
This track has hosted NASCAR races and the Verizon IndyCar Series. It is a 1 mile concrete oval, which was nicknamed "The Monster Mile", after it was built in 1969 as an asphalt surface, which was later replaced with concrete in 1995. The track's mascot is "Miles the Monster", and the monster is found on the winner's trophy, track tickets, memorabilia, and the website.

Tour Info
There are guided tours of the "Monster Mile" Thursdays at 2 PM. Guest will get behind-the-scenes access to the speedway for $7. There are no tours for two weeks prior to NASCAR tripleheader weekends.
The speedway also sells a limited number of Pre-Race Fan Passes and the Ultimate Fan Pass. The limited number of passes sold is due to the small 1 mile track and to prevent crowding.

Security Screenings
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
Bag Policy
One hard-sided or soft-sided cooler no larger than 14" x 14" x 14" AND a backpack or clear bag no larger than 18"x 18"x 4" may be brought into the track. All bags subject to search before entry.
